You are not going to miss this next month! 

We will be experiencing the Kitchen Emporium & Wine Shop in Council Bluffs.  This is a cozy shop for those who enjoy cooking, want to eat fresh, hand prepared food,  and  appreciate good wine.  We’re located in a newly restored building from the late 1800′s in the historic Haymarket Square District. 

We will be meeting there at 6:30 to enjoy a Saturday night with all of our friends from Ladies First!

We will also be making plans for the December Black Dress Soiree.  Hope to see you Saturday the 1st!

A local night out

Our turn out was lower than the past few months due to several of our ladies with schedule conflicts.  I know many of them were sorry to have to miss our newest hot spot in town- Vine Street Cellars.  Several ladies tried the wine tasting that they offered.  I think that everyone was very happy with the wine selections.  The company was fantastic as usual, and our only complaint was that our flatbread pizzas were a little overdone on the bottom.  (And poor Stacy, they forgot her wine AND her pizza!)  The meat and cheese tray went over well with those who ordered it however.  We hope to see more of our regulars at the October gathering!

We will be meeting at Vine Street Cellars at 6:30.  Hope you cane make it for a little pizza and wine!  Wine tastings are $5 for your choice of 5 and you get a glass to take home with you! Wines sold by the glass or bottle~ Sounds perfect!

Cellar 19 was packed when we arrived and we were thinking about moving to another location because there was no tables.  After a bit, one opened up and we decided to stay and wait for more to open.  I don't think they anticipated the crowd because the service was pretty slow, but the food and drinks were yummy!  I had such a great time talking with everyone and hope that all the other ladies did as well!

Why are so many places closed on Mondays??? The Rose and Wine Street Cellars were both closed on Mondays so we will save them for another time.

This August we will meet at Cellar 19 in CB.  Contact Amber to RSVP or for car pool info. You are welcome to bring a friend or two along as well.  The more the merrier!

July/ August 2011

We had a fantastic time at our July event with a turnout of 10!  The service was less than desired, I heard yes and no's about the food, but I think everyone had a great time! 

August 1st is a Monday so mark your calendar and check back for the what and where!  We discussed The Rose in Treynor to finish off our "small town circuit" but they are closed on Mondays.
